Terms of use
The rules for reading, contributing to, and commenting on ZRGearStory.
Effective September 20, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ZRGearStory and related services (the "Site"), which Pulse Frontier, Inc., a company based in Bradenton, Florida ("Pulse Frontier," "we," or "us"), operates. By using the Site, submitting a story, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with them, please stop using the Site.
2. Who can use the Site
Anyone may read the Site. To submit a story, comment, or create an account, you must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Your use of the Site must follow the laws that apply to you, including the firearms laws where you live.
3. What Gear Stories are
- Gear Stories are personal accounts written from the contributor's experience. They express the contributor's views, which may differ from those of Pulse Frontier.
- A story describes what happened to one person with one item. Stories are personal experiences, and they are not product tests, professional reviews, endorsements, or advice on safety, legal, medical, or training matters.
- Manufacturer instructions and qualified instruction come first. Follow safe handling practices and check the laws that apply to you.
- ZRGearStory does not sell firearms, ammunition, or accessories, and it is not a marketplace.
Pulse Frontier does not verify every statement in a story.
4. Accounts
Some features, such as commenting, use a ZR account. Give us accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
5. Submitting a story
When you submit a story, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old, and the story is your own first-person account of something that happened to you.
- The facts are true to the best of your knowledge, and you have said where you are unsure.
- The interest disclosure you selected is complete and accurate.
- Your photos are original images from your own experience, or you have permission from the person who took them, and anyone identifiable in a photo has agreed to appear.
- Your story and photos respect other people's rights, including copyright, privacy, and publicity rights, and they are lawful and free of defamation.
- The story reflects your own experience. If a manufacturer or seller asked you to write it, your disclosure says so.
6. The license you give us
You own your story and photos. By submitting them, you give Pulse Frontier a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, host, display, reproduce, and distribute them on ZRGearStory, with your byline, and to make the edits described in Section 7. This includes short excerpts, images, and links used to promote your story on ZRGearStory's own channels, such as its social media accounts and newsletters.
We will ask for your separate permission before publishing your story in other Pulse Frontier publications or licensing it to third parties.
The license lasts while your story is published. You may ask to withdraw a story before publication at any time. After you ask us to remove a published story, we take it off the public Site and keep only the copies that backups, records, and legal obligations require. Removal does not undo copies already made by others or stored by search engines, though we will ask search engines to update their results where we can.
7. Editorial review and publication
Publication is at our discretion. We may make minor grammar, headline, caption, and formatting corrections that keep the meaning of your account intact, and we ask for your approval before substantial changes. We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to help prepare the draft you review, and you approve the wording before you submit.
We may decline, hold, label, or remove a story or comment, for example when it reads as promotional, shows an incomplete disclosure, departs from our Submission Guidelines, or raises legal, safety, or accuracy concerns.
Contributors are not paid for stories unless we agree otherwise in writing. Publishing a story does not create an employment, agency, or partnership relationship.
8. Manufacturer responses and comments
A manufacturer may respond to a story through a verified company identity. The response appears separately from the story and the comments, and it does not change the story.
Signed-in readers may comment on stories. Comments should be respectful and relevant to the story, and they represent the views of their authors. We may moderate or remove comments.
9. Acceptable use
Please do not use the Site to:
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content, or impersonate another person or company
- Publish other people's private information, including home addresses and firearm serial numbers
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
- Offer, arrange, or ask for the sale or transfer of firearms, ammunition, or other regulated items
- Submit promotional content that hides a business relationship
- Upload malware or interfere with the Site's operation or security
- Collect Site content in bulk by automated means, other than search engine indexing that follows our robots.txt file, or with our written permission
- Break any law or infringe anyone's rights
10. Third-party links and services
The Site links to services run by others and by Pulse Frontier affiliates, such as CoachZR, RangeZR Expo, and Firearms Insight. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
11. Our content and trademarks
The Site's design, the text we write, our logos, and the ZRGearStory name belong to Pulse Frontier or its licensors. You may read the Site, share links to it, and quote short excerpts of published stories with attribution for personal, noncommercial, or news purposes. Other uses need our written permission, and the contributor's permission for their story and photos.
12. Copyright complaints and correction requests
Copyright
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at the address below. Include:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email
- A description of the copyrighted work and the page address (URL) of the material
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you own or are authorized to act for the owner of the copyright
- Your physical or electronic signature
We may remove the material and tell the contributor, who may send a counter-notice. We may end access for repeat infringers.
Designated agent: Copyright Agent, Pulse Frontier, Inc., Bradenton, Florida, legal@pulsefrontier.com.
Corrections
If you believe a story or comment contains a factual error about you or your business, or violates your rights, email us with the page address and what you would like corrected. We review requests in good faith and may update, annotate, or remove the material. We may share your request with the contributor.
13. Disclaimers
The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Pulse Frontier disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that stories are accurate, complete, or current, or that the Site will run without interruption or error. You rely on any story at your own risk.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Pulse Frontier and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or reliance on a story. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions restrict these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Pulse Frontier and its officers, employees, and contractors against claims, damages, and reasonable costs, including attorneys' fees, that arise from your submission, your comments, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
16. Governing law and disputes
Florida law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Pulse Frontier agree that the state and federal courts located in or serving Manatee County, Florida, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Site, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
17. Changes, termination, and general terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date above shows the current version, and we will post notice of material changes on the Site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
We may suspend or end access at any time for conduct that breaks these Terms or creates risk for the Site or others. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including licenses for published content, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, and governing law, continue after termination. If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
