What we collect on ZRGearStory, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Effective September 20, 2026
1. Who we are
ZRGearStory is published by Pulse Frontier, Inc., a company based in Bradenton, Florida ("Pulse Frontier," "we," or "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to readers, contributors, and people who write to us.
2. What we collect
Story submissions
Your answers to the guided questions, story text and edits, photos you upload, and the interest disclosure you select and any detail you add.
Public profile details
The name or byline you choose to publish, your roles, a short descriptor, your business or affiliation, your background, professional profile details, and any public website, email, phone, or social links you decide to show.
Private contact and verification details
Your legal first and last name, private email address, and private phone number. We use these to verify submissions and to contact you about them. They are not published.
Account and community activity
Information connected to your ZR account, comments you post, and manufacturer responses submitted through a verified company identity.
Messages
Emails and other messages you send us.
Technical information
Standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and the date and time of requests. We use them to run and protect the site.
Information to leave out
We do not ask for financial account numbers, government ID numbers, or firearm serial numbers. Please leave them out of your story and photos.
3. How we use information
- To prepare, review, publish, and manage stories, profiles, and responses
- To help turn your answers into a draft (see the next section)
- To contact you about your submission, your account, and your requests
- To operate accounts, comments, and moderation
- To secure the site and prevent abuse, fraud, and spam
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes
We send marketing email only with your consent, and every message includes a way to opt out.
4. Drafting help and automated tools
To help turn your answers into a readable draft, we use automated tools, including services that use artificial intelligence. Your story answers and the public profile details you provide are sent to these services for that purpose. Your legal name (when it differs from your byline), private email, and private phone number are kept out of the drafting step.
The draft is built from what you give us. You review and approve the wording before anything is submitted for publication, and our editors review submissions before they are published. We choose service providers whose terms limit how they may use the content we send them.
5. What becomes public
A published story shows its title, text, and photos, your byline, roles and descriptor, business or affiliation, contributor profile, interest disclosure, and any public links you chose to display. Readers who comment appear under their account display name.
Published information can be read, copied, and indexed by search engines. Removing a story from the site does not remove copies that others have already made or that search engines have stored, though we will ask search engines to update their results where we can.
6. When we share information
- Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, storage, email, security, analytics if we add it, and the drafting services described above. They receive only what they need and are bound by their terms with us.
- Connected services. When you link a ZR account, a CoachZR profile, or a RangeZR Expo company identity, we share the information needed to make that connection work.
- Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to lawful requests, enforcing our Terms, and protecting people and the site.
- Business changes, such as a merger or sale of the business, with continued protection for your information.
- With your consent.
We do not sell personal information. We keep your private contact details from manufacturers, advertisers, and other contributors.
7. Cookies and local storage
While you fill out the story form, we may save your draft in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. That data stays on your device until you submit, clear it, or clear your browser data. The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics, we will describe it here.
8. How long we keep information
We keep submissions and account information while we need them to run the site, publish and manage stories, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Published stories stay online until removed. Unpublished submissions and drafts are deleted after a reasonable period, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time.
9. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete your information or remove your story
- Stop sending you marketing email
Email legal@pulsefrontier.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we aim to respond within 45 days. Residents of some states have privacy rights under state law, and we honor these requests from everyone who contacts us. If we cannot complete a request, we will explain why.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
ZRGearStory is for adults. Submitting stories, commenting, and creating accounts require you to be at least 18 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Where information is processed
We operate from the United States, and information is processed and stored here. If you use the site from another country, you understand that your information will be handled in the United States under this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version, and we will post notice of material changes on the site.
